Our Story
Hundreds of projects showed what is really missing to provide stable, reliable and high-performance IT Services.
With this knowledge and the certainty, that vendor-independence is a must here, the founders established the German-based company KnowledgeRiver GmbH in 2016.
While the starting point was a cross-vendor and cross-system analyzing software to detect pro-actively misconfigurations and interoperability issues to avoid incidents in data centers, the features of this world-wide unique method were extended over time to analyze entire IT Services.
Furthermore the portfolio was adjusted and services were added to offer customers, partners and vendors an extraordinary valuable package.
The KnowledgeRiver team is experienced especially in following areas:

- Recognition of needs and requirements.
- Development of specialized software.
- Implementation of solutions.
- Project management.
- Good-practice frameworks like ITIL and COBIT.
Primarily KnowledgeRiver is a consulting company. We love to talk to people and we always explain and discuss the results of our services.
Our Software Products are an important part for several services, but they are 'just' supporting us.
And we have always an eye on cost-efficiency and a good ROI (Return of Investment).

Our Methodology
Based on ITIL and COBIT guidelines, KnowledgeRiver developed a straight-forward IT Services Optimization Cycle.
It consists of 5 PHASES:
- Planning
- Data Collection
- Analysis
- Result / Decision
- Implementation
All our services are based on this methodology.
We are able to automate some of these phases - especially 'Data Collection', 'Analysis' and 'Result / Decision' with our Software Products.

ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a set of detailed practices for IT Service Management (ITSM) that focuses on aligning IT Services with the needs of business.
Basis for our IT Services Optimization Cycle is especially the 'Seven-Step Improvement Cycle' defined in ITIL's phase 'Continual Service Improvement' (CSI):
