ITIL, formally an acronym for Information Technology Infrastructure Library, is a set of detailed practices for IT Service Management (ITSM) that focuses on aligning IT services with the needs of business.

ITIL Life Cycle Phases Our main focus is on Continual Service Improvement (CSI).
Beside the processes, ITIL describes within CSI the so called Seven-Step Improvement guideline. It is a methodology which can be universally applied to identify shortcomings in services and processes and to implement improvements. ITIL Seven-Step Improvement guideline
